Chicago State University (CSU) is a state university of the U.S. state of Illinois, located in Chicago. The university is a member-school of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Chicago State University was founded in 1867 as a teacher training school under the name Cook County Normal School. Today, CSU offers 38 undergraduate and 30 graduate degree programs through its five colleges. It prides itself on being able to consistently evolve to reflect state-of-the-art trends in higher education and prepare its students for success in the 21st century.
